   2011… a year in review

   Because it is January First, TWENTY-FUCKING-TWELVE, I have decided to post a review of the previous year.  All in all, after a relatively slow start (see below), 2011 ended up being fairly awesome.    

   Jan: Found out my Great G-ma was Swedish and NOT Norwegian, as she had been saying for literally 100 years.  

   Feb:  I think this was the first month that I achieved my appointment quota at work (which was, admittedly, kind of a big deal for me.)

   Mar:  Discovered that I really like making soup.  That is all.

   Apr: Cut off my hair.  Got to know my little sister better.  Turned 24.  Bought running shoes and barely used them.

   May: EPIC Vacation in Washington DC.

   June: Got serious about buying a house.  Briefly rediscovered my Tumblr.

   July: Drove to Chicago and saw Manchester United at Soldier Field. BECAME A HOMEOWNER; moved in 5 days after closing.

   Aug: 1st anniversary of working at TR… officially my longest stretch of continual employment for a single company.  Celebrated the wedding of some good friends.

   Sept: Went on a VERY long horseback ride with my best friend.  Made Duck a l’Orange. Visited the MN Ren Fest… and realized my childhood memories were deceiving. Found out I got a promotion at work.  Saw my first professional hockey game.

   Oct: Finished my grad school application.  Carved pumpkins with Justin for the first time and had our first trick-or-treaters.  Went to a concert for the first time in 2 years.  OMG, PINTEREST.

   Nov: Got into grad school.  2 years with Justin… and we forgot to celebrate. :-P 

   Dec: Did some SERIOUS baking. SERIOUSLY.  Put up our first real Christmas tree with all of our childhood ornaments.  Drove A LOT to be with family on the holidays. Played too much WoW….WAY TOO MUCH WoW.

   2012, it might be tough to top 2011, but I think you can do it.  Can’t wait to see what’s next!
